Part of Hawaiian culture ‘Ohana’ means family as an extended sense of the term including blood-related, adoptive or intentional. It emphasizes that family is bound together and members must cooperate and remember one another. I have a very strong connection to Hawaii and have gone there many times in recent years. It has been my getaway and I wanted to create a piece dedicated to that island paradise.
